Getting started & signing in

Signing in

Go to the sign-in page and enter your Username and Password, then select Sign in. Only your account owner creates new accounts — see Adding people — so ask them for your username and starting password.

Forgot your password?

On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? next to the password field. Then:

  1. Enter your username or the email on record for your account, and select Send reset link.
  2. You'll always see the same message — "If that account has an email on record, we've sent a password reset link to it." — whether or not the account exists, so this page never reveals who has an account here.
  3. If an email is on file for you, a reset link arrives there. It works once, and only for 1 hour.
  4. Open the link, choose a new password (at least 10 characters, typed twice to confirm), and you're signed in.

No email arrived? Most likely there's no email on record for your account yet — only your account owner, or a domain manager for domains you have access on, can add one (see Adding people). Ask them to either add your email so you can reset it yourself next time, or reset your password directly from the admin panel.

Signing out

Select the sign-out icon (the arrow by a door) at the right of the top header to end your session.

Your own settings

Select the gear icon in the header to open Your settings, where you can:

  • Set your Display name.
  • Set a personal Signature, added to the bottom of every new message you write (a mailbox's own signature, if one is set, takes priority — see Signatures).
  • Change your password — enter your current password and a new one (at least 10 characters). Leave the new password blank to leave it unchanged.
  • Set your Time zone — every time shown to you anywhere in the app uses this. Leave it on "Automatic" and it picks itself up from your browser the first time you sign in on it; pick one from the list to override that.
  • Set a Default domain (shown only if you can switch between domains) — the mailbox list opens on that domain. You can still pick another domain, or "All domains", from the domain menu at any time; on a phone that menu is under the ⋮ button in the top right.
